Jon currently presents the channel’s Sports News coverage each weekday afternoon.
This is his second stint at Sky News, the first culminated in 2001 with a shortlisting for the prestigious Royal Television Society Sports Reporter of the Year Award.
Jon is willing to go wherever the story takes him. Whilst covering the 2000 – 2001 BT Global Challenge round-the-world yacht race, Jon joined a crew of 18 volunteers to sail the Tasman Sea from Wellington to Sydney. Jon broadcast live on deck each night, using special satellite equipment.
In 2002, during a two year stint at Channel Four, he was shortlisted for RTS Sports Presenter of the Year for his coverage of the World Rally Championship.
Since then Jon has seen David Beckham sign for the LA Galaxy, Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button win the Formula One World Championship, and England’s cricketers become the world’s best test team.
Jon lives in Hertfordshire with his wife and family. He is a passionate supporter of Luton Town.
