Jane Dougall

Jane Dougall joined Sky News in 2010 as a reporter and has since broken numerous stories, such as the Ryan Giggs scandal and the trials of MPs convicted of fiddling their expenses, live on air. More recently Jane reported live from the scene of the London riots in Tottenham and Hackney. Jane also presents for Sky News on a regular basis. 
 
Prior to joining Sky, Jane held the role of staff reporter for Five News, where she was the lead reporter on the Ipswich murder trials, the 21/7 terror trial and followed Hillary Clinton during the American Primaries. Jane also did a stint at ITV Granada; where she covered the Pakistan earthquake and Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, going on to win the Royal Television Society Young Journalist of the Year Award in 2006. 
 
In 2008 Jane trekked through the foothills of the Himalayas and became the first Scot to skydive above Mount Everest, whilst following a group of professional skydivers. 
 
Jane started out in radio having been selected for the BBC traineeship in 2000. She was placed in various radio stations around the North West of England, such as for BBC Radio Lancashire, BBC North West Tonight and BBC Radio Manchester. Whilst at BBC Radio Manchester, Jane broke the news of the 9/11 terrorist attacks live on air.
