Charlotte Hawkins

Charlotte works alongside Eamonn Holmes presenting Sunrise, weekday mornings 6am-9am. She also presents Sky News at 9am for an hour, bringing viewers the top agenda-setting news stories.
 
Since joining Sky as a presenter, Charlotte has co-anchored coverage of the Royal Wedding, hosted Sky News’ BAFTA show, presented live from the red carpet at the Oscars in LA, and been on location to bring viewers coverage of the 2010 General Election. She has also been on-air for several major breaking stories and interviewed several film stars for the channel including Sir Elton John, Colin Firth, Will Smith, Matt Damon and Johnny Depp.  

After graduating from Manchester University with a degree in English Language and Literature, she went on to complete a Postgraduate Diploma in Broadcast Journalism from the London College of Communication. Charlotte's broadcasting career began in 1999 as a newsreader and reporter for ITN Radio. She was one of the first journalists at the Paddington rail crash and reported live from the scene. 
In January 2000, Charlotte moved to Meridian Television as a reporter before co-anchoring Meridian's main news programme Meridian Tonight for four years. She also co-presented the current affairs discussion series The Big Story, and worked on rolling news as a presenter on the ITV News Channel.
