Dominic is Sky News US Correspondent and is based in the Washington bureau.In almost five years working as Sky’s correspondent in the Middle East Dominic has covered two wars, the Arab revolutions and been sent on assignments as far afield as Haiti to cover the aftermath of the devastating earthquake. He was among the first western journalists to enter Libya, days after the rout of Gadaffi forces in the east, dispatching a number of revelatory exclusives from Benghazi and the road to Ras Lanuf. Dominic was part of Sky’s Bafta nominated and Golden-Nymph award winning team covering the Egyptian revolution, from the outbreak of protests, through the Friday of Rage and the downfall of Hosni Mubarak and its immediate aftermath. Dominic has reported extensively across the region. In an exclusive interview with Syria’s President Assad he secured an invitation from American President Barack Obama to visit the country. He was the first British journalist to re-enter Gaza after Hamas’ violent takeover in 2007. He won praise in the press for his coverage of Israel’s Operation Cast Lead in January 2009. Dominic was formerly Sky News' China and Asia Correspondent where his exclusive reports won numerous awards including RTS Television Journalist of the Year and News Item of the Year in 2007, for a series of investigative exclusives in China. The same work won him a Foreign Press Association Journalist of the Year award and a Golden Nymph for Best TV News Item.
